Backpack Day was a Success
We were looking forward to Backpack Day all year… and it definitely did not disappoint!
Over 100 families were served at both our Auburn and Lawrenceville locations, so now more than 200 kids can begin a new term with school supplies on their backs. There are always certain anxieties that accompany the start of a school year, as students figure out where to sit and what to wear. They should not have to worry about what to write with, and that’s where you came in! Now these bright, young minds can go in, heads held high, prepared for a great start to a fresh year.

One of our favorite verses to quote here at StreetWise is James 2:16, which reads:
and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?
Due to the Lord’s faithfulness and your willingness to be used by Him, we were able to provide for physical and spiritual needs alike. In addition to pencils, crayons, notebooks, binders and more, families also walked away with a week’s worth of groceries and the message of our victory in Christ. So many Clients expressed gratitude for your willingness to sacrifice a Saturday on their behalf, and none of it would have been possible without those who generously donated the supplies that were given away.
As always, we cannot thank you enough for covering every base, for meeting people where they were, and for doing so with a smile. The Lord has abundantly blessed us through you.
