We Had a Blast at the Block Party

As always, we are so thankful for all who volunteered at last month’s Block Party. We had an excellent turnout and served over 35 Families! Food was eaten, faces were painted, games were played, and most importantly, the Word was heard.

Our next party is coming up this Saturday, August 15th. As always, we are excited and expectant, eager to experience what the Lord has planned. The driving purpose behind these events is always: to love people because God is love, to have fun because God is fun, to reveal truth because God is truth. Not only is this a time to treat the children and adults who attend, but it is an opportunity to encourage entire families toward Jesus. For some, this could be the one message of Good News that they receive all week.

Our Savior says,

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

At block parties, we come face-to-face with the harvest in our community, and we are ever-grateful for the willing workers by which this outreach is possible. How wonderful it is that as we sow seeds of salvation, God gives the growth! Our great, big God moves within our smallest efforts to reveal the hope of His calling. In your helping hands, gentle words and sweet smiles lives the evidence of His heart for the people we serve.
