Steps to Hope: Walk With Us to Fight Hunger in Our Community

Off

This year’s Hunger Walk Run holds special meaning for the StreetWise family. As we continue the work our beloved Executive Director, Tracy Joseph, cared so deeply about, we walk together in his honor, taking steps that reflect the hope, compassion, and dignity he showed to every person who walked through our doors.

At StreetWise Georgia, every step forward represents more than movement, it represents hope.

This spring, we’re coming together as a community to take tangible action against hunger by participating in the Atlanta Community Food Bank Hunger Walk Run, and we invite you to join us as part of Team Steps to Hope. In Honor of Tracy Joseph

The Hunger Walk Run is a family-friendly afternoon designed for all ages, featuring a carnival-style area with games, inflatables, educational activities, and more. There will also be some of Atlanta’s best food trucks and vendors on site, along with a food court-style seating area to relax and enjoy the day together. It’s a meaningful way to make memories while making a difference.

Why We Walk

Hunger is a daily reality for many of the individuals and families who walk through our doors. At StreetWise, food is often the first point of connection, the immediate need that opens the door to stability, dignity, and long-term support.

Funds raised through the Hunger Walk Run do not come directly to StreetWise as cash donations. Instead, they are converted into food credits with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. These credits allow us to purchase nutritious food at a significantly reduced cost, stretching every dollar further and helping us keep our pantry stocked for the neighbors we serve week after week.

Simply put: your steps help put food on tables.
