At StreetWise Georgia, we know a simple truth: we cannot do this without you. Our volunteers are the dedicated, compassionate heartbeat that allows us to serve the community with the capacity and dignity we are known for.
That’s why our Volunteer Appreciation Event is such a big deal. It’s our chance to step back, celebrate, and honor the individuals who put their hands and hearts to work, directly translating compassion into tangible change.
Where the Magic Happens: Areas of Ministry
From the phone room to the highway, our volunteers show up across every facet of our ministry. This wide-ranging support is what makes our holistic model work. Here are just a few critical areas where volunteers transform lives every single week:

| Food Pantries & Warehouse | Sorting incoming donations, packing food boxes, and loading vehicles during our large, multiple food distributions tailored to serve people where they are in life. |
| Daily Intake (Greeters & Phone Room) | Serving as the welcoming face and voice of StreetWise, scheduling appointments, and preparing the foundation for every client visit. |
| Client Advisors (Counselors) | Meeting one-on-one with clients to listen, offer encouragement, and connect families with the resources they need for long-term stability. |
| Cedar’s Closet | Acting as “personal shoppers” to ensure clients can select the clothing and necessities they need with dignity and respect. |
| Drivers | Hitting the road daily to pick up essential food products from local stores, keeping our pantries stocked and ready to serve. |
The Proof is in the Service: Your Impact in Numbers
Your commitment to showing up makes a measurable difference in the lives of our neighbors. Here is a look at the incredible impact of our volunteer community this year:
- Total Volunteer Hours Served: 39,751 hours poured into the mission. This is equivalent to 29 full-time employees!
- Total Number of Volunteers: 9,181 dedicated individuals gave their time this year.
- Meals Supported: Volunteers directly supported the distribution of over 1,919,908 pounds of food, which is equal to 1.6 million meals.
- Individuals served: 42,517 individuals received care, resources, and encouragement.
Without our volunteers, we simply could not exist, and we certainly could not serve our community to this capacity. Thank you for making the mission real.
