In 2012, StreetWise and Gwinnett DFCS joined together to hold their first Prom Starganza, making the dreams of local High School Students come true!
We are giving Juniors and Seniors of struggling families in our community an opportunity to attend their School Proms by supplying them with everything from dresses to jewelry. This is a life changing event!

Volunteer Position (short) Descriptions
- Dress Salon Hostess– Managing and maintaining the Dress Salon area and assisting personal shoppers locate different sizes
- Jewelry Station– Managing and maintaining Jewelry Station area and assisting teens with jewelry choices
- Nail Technician– Assisting the teens with selection of nail polish (new and opened bottles), emery boards, cotton balls and polish remover.
- Personal Shoppers– Adult volunteer (age 21+) assisting teen girls through their entire Prom Starganza experience. Will have two shopper assistants
- Shopper Assistants– Volunteer (age 16-20) assigned to a Personal Shopper who will help the Shopper find all needed items
- Reception Refreshment & Hospitality Hostess– Set up and maintain refreshments including food/drinks for Clients and volunteers in their respective areas
