Q: Is there an age requirement for volunteering?
A: Volunteers may be as young as 8 years old. However, volunteers younger than 11 will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Groups of kids under the age of 15 years old we ask their be 1 (one) adult chaperon per group of 5 (five) kids.
Q: Do I need special training for the Mobile Food Pantry?
A:
Training is minimal. All you need is a lending hand, a giving heart, and a Saturday morning to spare for the betterment of our community! This opportunity is perfect for new volunteers to visit our facility and discover what StreetWise Georgia is all about.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Something in which you feel comfortable performing manual labor, but you must have closed-toe shoes. Considerations for attire could include: weather forecast for the day of the event, 'would I mind if this got a little dirty?' Please leave personal belongings at home or in your car. For safety reasons please no earbuds or music headsets.
Q: How does this event help StreetWise achieve its overall mission?

While the Mobile Food Pantry’s purpose is to share food with a large number of Clients in a single day, StreetWise Georgia also strives to ensure that every client family that attends is prayed for and made aware that we are gladly giving in the name of

Q: Where should I park?
A: Volunteer Parking will be at the StreetWise building at 1770 Cedars Road, Lawrenceville, GA. 30045 Suite #600. ALL of the parking spaces in the front and sides can be utilized. You will enter the #600 Volunteer Entrance and sign in and pick up a badge. First names only please.
Q: What if I am just dropping off a volunteer to serve?
A: Volunteers may be dropped off at the #600 entrance of the StreetWise facility and picked up at the same entrance by 1:30 PM. Please coordinate pickup time with the StreetWise Mobile Food Pantry closing time.
