About the Easter Celebration

Each year, we host our Annual Easter Celebration on the Saturday just before the holiday itself. One of the goals with this event is to give needy children (and adults!) an “egg-tastic” time of music and fun. All children that attend a program receive a specially packaged basket filled with toys, colorful plastic eggs, and individually wrapped candies.

However, while pastel-painted eggs and bunnies colored the same have become synonymous with this time of year, our most important task for the StreetWise Easter Celebration is to present the true, biblical motivation for the event: He is Risen!

Services are held at our StreetWise Distribution Center in Lawrenceville as well as our StreetWise Chapel in Auburn for families in need who sign up. All children that attend a program receive a specially packaged basket filled with toys, colorful plastic eggs, and individually wrapped candies.

Our hope and prayer…

for the StreetWise Easter Celebration is this: that, although a family may walk through our doors with a particular idea of the meaning of “Easter”, they would all leave the services with an understanding of the truth behind the phrase:

He is Risen, indeed!
